The difficult part of reaching Kashi Vishwanath is usually not the railway journey—it is the final approach. Vehicles cannot enter every old-city lane, and crowd-control routes can change. Solve your luggage and meeting point before you leave the station.
Step 1: confirm which station you are arriving at
Tickets may show Varanasi Junction, Banaras, Kashi or another nearby station. Send the exact station name and arrival time to your accommodation. Do not assume every “Varanasi” station has the same transfer.
Step 2: travel to an agreed drop point
Use a prepaid or clearly agreed taxi, auto or e-rickshaw arrangement. Confirm the fare before moving and ask the driver to use the meeting point supplied by your host. Travel time varies heavily with traffic, festivals and road restrictions.
Step 3: leave luggage at your stay before darshan
